WORD COUNT: 5,928
SUMMARY: What happened that day after Hollis dragged Nuit off in disgrace?
NOTES: I had this puttering around in my head for a while, and today it latched onto me and wouldn't let go. I wrote all of it just today. So it might be a little rough, but hopefully still enjoyable. This isn't part of the main story at all, it's kind of a fill-in for Chapter 5c of Part 1, starting off right from when Hollis and Nuit leave the stage, so to speak.
*Update* I smoothed out a couple things near the end, b/c when I originally wrote this I was really tired and rushed to finish it. That badness led to a couple cut corners. Now those are fixed! (Just a couple paragraphs and lines added near the end.) Enjoy.
