Lol. Yeah I see that sometimes, how if a character were a different gender (generally male instead of female) some people who dislike them would like them then. It seems to be an online fiction thing for the most part.
And sigh, Matt. Yes, he's self-absorbed and he CAN be nasty or mean (mostly due to his bad temper), but he is capable of concern and has been manipulated. I still find him interesting and likable overall, even as I agree he's a jerk. :P
