Yeah, I know how you feel. I'm into both het and slash myself. When it comes to published stuff, of course most stuff is het and hey I don't mind that. I always liked my het and I always will. But when I'm reading stuff online, it's fun to read slash. And when it comes to slavefic, most of it is gonna be M/m anyway. (And yeah I totally dig master/slave relationships, or I would've never started writing this, ya know?)
So I understand how you feel, and I'm really happy I was able to persuade you to cheer on Alex and Kate, despite your usual inclinations. So I feel I succeeded as a writer. :D *blush*
The biggest hurdle for me was making Kate likable--yet interesting. And that was way harder for me than it sounds, because the boys are so clear in my head, with all their issues. She's a more well-adjusted person, which makes her story harder to see, or less interesting. Take your pick. I know I've agonized over it.
Ah speaking of the boys... yes, Matt. What about him? ;) Don't worry, the readers (and Min/Alex) haven't seen the last of him.
Yeah, as for the whole complication of this life with Kate vs. his position in the present and ties to Matt... yeah, I'll just say things won't be easy. More like a minefield that I'm trying to navigate my way through. Still figuring it all out myself..
Min sure does like to make things complicated dammit. XD
