Wiped out...

flighty_dreamsUgh, I am tired. I had to wake up early today for work to do some really boring stuff. But at least it had some downtime, so I brought a notebook with me, intending to work on my NaNo story, because I was about 2k words behind. Yuck.
Instead what happens? I swear I am having a tug of war with my Muse this month. I end up plotting out TWO scenes for Part 4 of Spliced! I even wrote some dialogue and everything, it was just flowing so easy. So yeah there I was, totally writing smut at work... mmm. It will be fun stuff too, I promise.
Apparently my Muse just can't resist the Spliced boys and keeps wanting to focus on them. It's making it really hard for me to work on my NaNo story. So today I got home, edited chap 13 to finally get it up on my LJ (and shut up le Muse temporarily), and then I went to a cafe nearby and focused on my NaNo project. It was good, I actually got 3500 words done, which was amazing to me. I totally caught up! And I broke 20k words! So I am proud of that. I'm doing good so far on my first NaNo. I just wish I was more into the story I'm writing for it.
Of course my Muse is teasing me now, saying hey, you're NaNo free for the rest of the night (I was done before 8pm my time) so now you can work on Spliced! It's calling to me... and you all are writing lovely comments about Chapter 13 which omg awesome! (And I shall respond soon.) But yeah... I can't start writing it out. Not until I get my 50k. I will stick to summaries and writing it in my head for now. I've got about the first 3-4 chapters of Part4 summarized at this point, which is wonderful. So it should flow well when the time comes...
