Working with Min(h)

I've been meaning to post for a while now; sorry I've been MIA and totally busy lately. Part of the reason is Min related though!

A few months ago this new guy started at work, and I swear when I first heard someone say, "Yeah, Min is starting on Monday," my brain kinda froze for a second. Okay, so it turns out that there was a silent 'h' on the end of the name, and it's a fairly common Vietnamese name, but still! It was hilarious to me.

Anyways, fast forward some, and we were assigned to work on some projects together. Not only was he really cute (sigh) but really funny and nice too. And most secretly comical of all to me, while named Minh, his personality type was so... Matt. He was always really well dressed in these nice suits, and very neat and organized, fairly type A without being overbearing though (more quiet than the usual type A). And he totally had the dark, droll Matt humor.

Sadly he started at a new job closer to home last week, so we no longer work together. Working with him brightened my workday in ways he will never know (haha) so I'll miss him. But it was fun while it lasted.

On the writing front, yes there will be more updates! Scotch today, since I have the next chapter ready that I meant to post last month, but that obviously didn't happen. And Spliced in a week or two, I'd say. Sorry for the waits!

I know, I had my own Min for a while!! It was exciting. Yeah, I wish he'd stuck around. He totally was, sigh. What's funny too is that everyone in the office (over 20 ppl) was sad about him leaving. He got along with everyone.

Lol. The thoughts were there, but he unfortunately has a live-in girlfriend. :P And he lives an hour away from me, so not so easy to just go grab a coffee or something. Especially when that one hour becomes 2+ hrs during the week due to commuter traffic. So it would have to be on ahem, a weekend.

I know right? I wish there were more hours in the day.

LoL! One of my cats is named Min and I randomly use my cats names as parts of the password I have to change periodically at work. This quarter it's Min's turn and I find myself thinking of Min from Spliced as often as I think of my cat every time I type it in.

Lol, that's awesome. My cat's name is Ivy but I sometimes think I should've named her Min too... she definitely has some Andorian tendencies! Purring even as she's squirming to get away.

My cat is a lot like Min. We has my mother in law with us for awhile and her cat kept wanting to dominate Min and she kept fighting him. I'd come home and her nose would be all scratched up and she had this look like you should see the other guy. But if you pet her in just the right places she'll roll over on her back in submission....until you stop doing what she wants that is.

Aww, poor cat!Min. I'm glad she was holding her own though--those Mins are tough cookies!

*LOL* 'Min' indeed does mean 'mine', but I never told you because... it never once occurred to me :-D But yeah, it fits... that way too! :-)
