Just babbling on here, feel free to ignore (this is more for my edification than anyone else's), but...

I have Good News and Bad News. I even have Neutral news!

Bah, I thought this wouldn't take very long. I was working on the edits for Part 2 of Spliced today, which I figured I would be mostly done with by the end of the day (slow day at work), but i wasn't. Not only was that not finished, partway through I realized I need to do a bunch of rewrites. As in like... rewrite the entire chapter 3. Gah. I was pretty frustrated when I realized this, because it means more work for me. Booooo.

So yeah, I don't know when I'll be done. But it will be much better than it was, that I can promise. I never was really happy with how Part 2 came out before. :S

Wow it's really been almost a month already? Life's been kinda crazy.

Doing some writing on and off, but not nearly enough, I'm sad to say. Bahhh. I need to get off my ass about that. And not be so ADD either. I write bits of multiple things and have to struggle to get anything done. Only short drabble-y type fic really gets done, because its the sort of thing I can write in just a session or two. It's done before I have time to switch back onto something else or go be lazy and non-writey. And yeah, I just used the word 'writey'. That's a first!

Current WIPs (thought I should make a list to keep things in mind):

1. Methos Calendar Year - February (Status: getting closer and closer to done... I can almost taste it.)

2. Urban fantasy short story - still untitled (Status: Writer's block on the whole climax part of the story, but I know the aftermath. Got that worked out. Too bad I'm struggling to write a major tense action scene. Sigh.)

3. Spliced (Status: Actually wrote a bit today--amazing! It's been on my brain a lot lately though. Min and Matt have dug their claws into me and won't let go.)

4. Methos Calendar Year - October or November (Status: I keep eyeing this one although I know its far away. I've got a good chunk of it written already.)

5. I've been reading a lot of Sarah Connor Chronicles fic lately, and I can feel my spidey senses tingling, the vague urge to write another fic. Preferably with Derek. Gah, I adore him. We'll see if the muse strikes again.


That is all for now. For now... I never underestimate my powers of ADD! I have been reading plenty of Barney/Robin fic lately as well... maybe the muse will strike there.

            My first foray into Sarah Connor fanfic. Fell in love with the show almost right away, and been reading all the fic I can find. And today this ficlet idea wouldn't let me go. I wrote it all at work today.

I know my last entry was about the Methos fic, but that ADD kicked in again and somehow lately I've found myself working on this urban fantasy pet project of mine again. (Sorry, Methos! I still love you really! I always will, don't worry.)

So yeah I finally got back to work on this. Mostly I've been revising and adding stuff here and there. But I finished the next chapter, which you can find below.

Just a quick update.

I've definitely written more of the story I posted on here. Just need to finish typing it out--wrote a lot of it while at work. I'll post more of that soon... and yeah, it still doesn't have a title yet. I need to fix that.

And, being my usual ADD self, I had some other stuff getting stuck in the forefront of my mind here, like Spliced. It's about time too, I needed me some more Min/Matt goodness. It had been a few months! I decided to reread what I'd written so far, and it got me into that mindset again. The down side is, I still haven't finished that short story I started, which I could have easily done. Better to actually finish something, no?

Bah, and of course, there's always that Methos project flitting about in the periphery. Methos is never completely out of my head. ;)

And Kim Harrison's new book comes out on Tuesday. I won't be doing any writing for a day or two while I read that, that's a given...

I've had this idea for a few months now. I want to do a fic for each month of the year, focusing on Methos and his past. So from Jan - Dec, but it doesn't have to be chronological. (I mean chronological as in which century it takes place. The time of year has to be sequential though.) I've already got a couple written, but I want to post them in order. Need to finish up January. So it's currently at like 2.5/12. Sigh.

Too bad I keep getting distracted. Between the short story I started today, the Methos stuff, and of course Spliced, it's a lot of stuff to get done! 

I wrote this today while at work. Been buzzing around in my head for a while.
